This month, we’re interviewing none other than the Great Kristi McCoy. That’s right “Great” is capitalized because that’s part of her name, seriously. Anyhow, I was lucky enough to have her as my “Wife” during Encounter weekend, and I’m excited now for you to get to know her too.
Chris: Alright, this is going to be fun...Where were you born?
Kristi: In Clearwater, Florida.
C: Why do you want to work with youth?
K: Because they’re fun, they’re entertaining, and I love the fact they can teach me things as well.
C: Good answer, it’s deep too. Do you have any cute or potentially embarrassing names for your kids?
K: Why yes I do, James is bubba J and kaitlyn is love-bug or picky cheeks
C: I hope they’re not too emberassed by that. How about jokes, do you have any good ones?
K: q: How do you make a hankey dance? a: you put a little boogie in it
C: Do you have a guilty pleasure food?
K: Ooo, banana-strawberry smoothie, with fresh strawberries, not frozen ones and Breyer's all natural vanilla bean ice cream, mmm yummy
C: Oh that sounds good, I might have to go make one myself. Say something dripping with school spirit.
K: Well it’s a cheer I used to do in middle school, we were the fighting Scottish Highlanders: “We’ve got pride, but we ain’t cocky, we’re gonna ride over you like a Kawasaki, vroom vroom” I’ll have to show you the moves some time
C: Yes you will, maybe at youth sometime, so everyone can benefit? What song best describes you when you?
K: “Extraordinary” by Liz Phair
C: Is that because you’re so extraordinary?
K: No, well yes, but no. I like that it tells people to remember that they are extraordinary and not to worry about what people think.
