The Rev. Dr. Thomas J. Price

Dr. Thomas J. Price, a retired minister in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, is a native Floridian, born in Gainesville in 1931. Educated at the University of Florida and Emory University, he was later awarded an honorary doctorate by Florida Southern College. His ministerial service in Florida includes appointments to Micanopy, Crystal River, Monticello, Florida Southern College as chaplain, Rader Memorial in Miami, and District Superintendent of the Miami District. He served in Latin America with Alfalit. Dr. Price’s final appointment was to First United Methodist Church of Winter Park, where he was Minister of Preaching from 1986 to 1996.
