Glimpses of the Kingdom Sermon Series
June 24 - October 21, 2007
The Glimpses of the Kingdom sermon series began on June 24 and ended on October 21. The series was based on Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, found in the Gospel of Matthew, chapters 5-7. Glimpses of the Kingdom was designed to evoke images of the kingdom of God that Jesus gives glimpses of during his Sermon on the Mount.
To become a disciple of Jesus is to learn to see, accept and celebrate the world as God's world. It is to learn what it means to be creatures of God, living our lives in ways that reflect God's movement within them and God's claim upon them. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus helps his listeners imagine a different identity for themselves and for the world.
