Mollie Ray Elementary School: Orlando, Florida
Mollie E. Ray Elementary School opened in 1959 to serve children living in the Pine Hills area. The children currently attending come primarily from single parent, low income homes. Most speak Haitian Creole as their first language. In addition to providing at least one teacher or para-professional on each grade level that speaks Haitian Creole the school also provides classes or makes accommodations for children with specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments and those who are educable mentally handicapped. FUMCWP has a long-standing commitment to support the needs of this school.
