Music Ministry Offerings 2010 - 2011
Audition Information
Auditions will consist of the following:
Part 1: Vocal Solo Presentation
Each individual will perform one minute of a vocal solo from memory in front of a panel of judges with accompaniment. It may be with piano (a piano player will be be available, bring a copy of music for them), cassette tape or CD (a CD player and cassette deck will be available - have your music cued). Your vocal solo will be a timed one-minute presentation. You may use any standard vocal style, Broadway, jazz, church music, etc., provided it is with accompaniment.
Solos will be noted for tone quality, breath control, musicality, and over-all presentation. Show us your best minute!
Part 2: Sight-Reading
You will not be asked to sight-read in auditions this season, however each individual will be asked for their level of sight-reading ability. Let us know if your sight-reading abilities are at a beginner's level, moderate, or advanced.
Part 3: Personal Interview
Each individual will have a brief personal interview. The following questions will be asked in this time:
- Why do you want to be a part of this ensemble?
- What can you bring and offer to this ensemble?
