
Music Ministry Offerings 2011-12
Broadway Bound

Our Music Ministry will present Broadway Bound on Friday, February 10 (dinner and show), and Saturday, February 11 (dessert and show). Music selections will be from Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and George M. Tickets will be available Sunday in the choir room and during the week in the church office. Proceeds will benefit the Youth Choir’s summer mission tour.
Adult Choir Ministry

- Chancel Choir - Wednesdays, 7:15-8:30 p.m.
The Chancel Choir is the primary worship choir of the music ministry. They rehearse and sing weekly in worship in addition to special events and seasonal music presentations. Nursery is provided by reservation only. - Jubilation Singers (by recommendation) -Wednesdays, 6:15-7:10 p.m.
This is an adult ensemble that rehearses weekly and sings regularly in worship. Music reading and advanced vocal skills strongly encouraged. Email Michael Roberts for details. Nursery is provided by reservation only. - Grace Ensemble (ladies) - Thursdays, 11:00 a.m.-12:00
This ensemble is composed of adult ladies who rehearse weekly and sing regularly in worship. The ensemble performs traditional, contemporary, secular and sacred music with worship responsibilities, as well as community outreach and service. Nursery is provided by reservation only. - Women’s Chamber Choir - Monthly, Wednesdays, 7-7:30 p.m., to be announced
The adult ladies’ chamber ensemble rehearses the first Wednesday of the month and sings monthly in worship. They perform a variety of choral literature. The ensemble's membership is by director’s recommendation.
Student Music Ministry
- Youth Choir for Rising 6th Grade - Sundays, 5-6 p.m.
- Youth Choir (6th through 12th grades ) - Sundays, 5-6 p.m.
The Youth Choir is the primary youth worship choir of the music ministry. They rehearse weekly and sing regularly in worship as well as special events. They tour every summer performing Christian-based music which is funded mainly through a fall cabaret show, a spring dinner theatre and other fundraisers. A minimum required attendance must be maintained to participate. - Youth Girls’ Ensemble - Auditions to be announced
This is an auditioned girls’ ensemble that rehearses weekly and sings regularly in worship. Music reading and advanced vocal skills are strongly encouraged. Ensemble members must be active members of the Youth Choir. Email Michael Roberts for audition times and details. - Youth Male Ensemble - Sundays, 5-6 p.m.
A non-auditioned guys’ ensemble rehearses weekly and sings in worship.
Children’s Choir Ministry
- Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Music Time, age 4 (by September 1) and 5 (kindergarten)
This program offers music activity for age four (by September 1) and above. This is not a performance based choir, but a learning based music time which includes singing, playing instruments, movement and worship skills. - Primary Choir, Grades 1-2

Instrumental Music Ministry
- Celebration Handbells - Sunday, 6-7 p.m.
An adult bell choir for experienced players rehearses weekly and plays regularly in worship as well as community outreach, special events and seasonal music presentations. Music reading skills strongly encouraged. - Joyful Bells - Fridays, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
- Children’s Handchimes - Wednesdays, 6-6:30
- Church Orchestra (senior high through adult) - Monthly, Tuesday, 7-8:30 p.m.
Youth through adult instrumentalists will rehearse monthly and perform special music and accompaniment for various worship services and seasonal presentations. Players should be at a moderately advanced level. Rehearsal time will be determined by leadership and ensemble membership.
