Here is how our sample donation dollar breaks down: 46 cents comes from our annual pledged givers, 39 cents comes from our unpledged givers and interest on our deposits, 12 cents comes from endowment income that is restricted to support our capital and maintenance budget and 3 cents comes from the Marcy Trust matching grant.

How we spend that same dollar: 52 cents pays the salaries and benefits of the people who work at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park – those who lead our worship and carry out our ministries of teaching, preaching and service, and those who support them in their work for this community. Costs for our ministry programs account for another 6 cents. We allocate 2 cents for outreach ministries, 2 cents for worship and music and 1 cent for communications. Building maintenance costs 15 cents, administrative and operations cost 16 cents and mission and outreach ministries to the general church cost 6 cents.

The annual budget of First United Methodist Church of Winter Park requires about 2.75 million of those sample dollars. To keep our programs and ministries running smoothly and to continue to grow in numbers and in spiritual maturity, we need the help and participation of members and friends from across the street and around the world.
