Providing support for those going through life’s challenges
- Walking the Mourner’s Path - An 8-week grief support group that helps one understand their grief experiences and helps one to find God’s comfort and guidance in their time of sorrow.
- Stephen Ministry –Compassionate people trained to help provide Christian care and support by lending a listening ear and a caring heart to those journeying through life's struggles.
- Support groups – A variety of support and enrichments groups are offered on a frequent basis for mothers, single parents, the divorced, married couples, parenting, and other topics.
- Reclaiming Hope - A ministry providing emotionally, spiritually, and practical support for those going through these difficult economic times. The group meets for monthly gatherings to provide resources, to network, and to hear speakers on a variety of helpful topics.
- NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

- NAMI - Faith and Mental Education - every 3rd Friday in MFLC rm 320 1-3 p.m. Contact: Karen Archibald, 407-814-4486
- Anonymous Groups - First United Methodist Church of Winter Park hosts several addiction and recovery groups. For a list and description of them click here.
- Counseling Center – Professional counseling is offered at the church on certain days of the week through the Community Counseling Center of St. Luke’s UMC.(www.st.lukes.org/ministries/Counseling)
- Pastoral counseling and referrals – Counseling by one of our pastors is available as well as referrals to appropriate counseling agencies.
