Reverend Jan Richardson

Rev. Jan Richardson became the Visiting Artist at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park in 2003.  Her ministry at FUMC, Winter Park includes leading the Wellsprings Service and offering occasional retreats, classes, and workshops at the church.  

In addition to her ministry at FUMC, Winter Park, Jan serves beyond the congregation as an artist, writer, and spiritual director.  She travels widely as a retreat and workshop leader.  She is the director of The Wellspring Studio, LLC, and serves on the faculty of the Grünewald Guild, a retreat center and community based in Washington State that explores the connections between faith and the arts.

A native Floridian several generations over, Jan grew up in Evinston, a small town near Gainesville.  She graduated from Florida State University with degrees in religion and creative writing and received her master of divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  She has served in ministry in the Florida Conference since 1993.
