How to Join

We are excited to welcome all people who would like to become a member of this church. There are three ways to join the church: baptism, reaffirmation of your baptism or transferring your membership from another church.

We feel that the decision to become a member of a church community is an important step in one's faith walk. To assist you in this commitment we ask that everyone attend a four week, one hour class on Sunday mornings (times vary).

During these four classes you will gain a better understanding of who the United Methodists are and how you can become involved in the life of First United Methodist Church of Winter Park. There will be a Wednesday night make-up class on the Wednesday night following each Sunday for those who are absent. There are two classes offered in the fall and two in the spring.

After attending these classes, participants are invited to join the church on the Sunday following the last class.
